D and E Verse

Since I’m a week late on posting the D Verse, I’m going to get us caught up by posting the D Verse and the E Verse.

I you’re not familiar with the Letter Verses Project, you can click HERE to learn more about

A Verse

B Verse

orย  C Verse.

D verse is a doozey and it is one that you are going to LOVE having your kids memorize–until you realize that it applies to YOU as well.

Philippians 2: 14-15 Do EVERYTHING without complaining and arguing so that you may become blameless and pure children of God.

If you click on the link above, it should turn into a handy dandy printable PDF. ๐Ÿ™‚ Now, this particular verse is another one that we learned from watching the Hide ‘Em In Your Heart DVDs by Steve Green.ย  Here’s the Steve Green Version followed by the Addie and Dylan versions. ๐Ÿ™‚

Addie is really proud of herself for saying “BLameless” instead of “PLameless.”

Dylan needs some encouragement to start, but he always finishes STRONG. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now for E Verse!

Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right. Proverbs 20: 11

This song is another “Ryder Specialty” that I made up all on my own, so if you don’t like my tune, feel free to come up with your own.

The Providinator insists that all my tunes have a calypso beat to them, to which I say, “Yah Mon!”ย  The following tune should be repeated several times until the “Proverbs 20:11 Yeah!” part is deafeningly loud.ย  Thanks to my friend, our illustrious Children’s pastor JJ, for serving as videographer for this project since the kids are beginning to find my constant videotaping somewhat irritating. ๐Ÿ™‚

Would your kids like to be featured singing the F verse? If so, I’ll send you that info ahead of time and you can get a head start on it for next week!

Don’t forget to incentivize your kids by reminding them that their memorization can help provide Scripture for other kids around the world. We Ryders are going to be giving our FIRST verse to the Arew people in Tanzania through the Letter Verses group at OneVerse.ย  SO EASY!

(Okay, I literally just did this and it took me 94 seconds including the time it took me to find my purse and get my credit card.)

Any questions? Get your friends, churches, and Sunday school classes to join in! (I hear that Letter Verses are what all the cool kids are doing . . .) Also, if you want to post a more “grown-up” D or E verse in comments, feel free to do that as well.
